1. Why advertise in Northern
California?
The NorCal Ace Retailer Group is
situated in the heart of
California’s state capital. The
Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto market
ranks 20th in the nation
and is a prosperous agricultural
belt, and a booming industrial
region that attracts more businesses
every year! With all the negative
press regarding homeownership today,
the greater Sacramento region still
offers consumers affordable housing
and ample job opportunities.
2. My company already does a lot of
“national” advertising, why should
we participate with NorCal Ace?
Most companies have discretionary
advertising dollars that come from
co-op funds that go unused year
after year. Advertising with NorCal
can help fortify your national
advertising budgets by telling the
consumer where to
purchase your product and
price your product to
stimulate consumer purchase.
3. How do I begin the process of
advertising with the Group?
Start by contacting us by either
telephone or e-mail. We will need
some basic information on your
company and product(s). It will be
useful to provide color sale sheet,
detailed description, and even, a
sample of the product itself. The
Ad Group will forward your
information onto our Product
Selection Committee. The committee
will then determine if the item you
wish to advertise is a good fit for
the group and has the ability to
generate sales in our unique
marketplace. We look forward to
hearing from you.
4. What if my product isn’t carried
in the Ace warehouse?
There are two options available: #1
- Drop/direct ship in which the
stores order individually and you
ship directly to them. For this
process, we can help you tailor your
order form and you will be able to
monitor the results by keeping track
and sending out your local
representatives to encourage sales.
#2 – We can create a pool buy
through the Ace warehouse in which
we gather all of the orders with a
bulletin created by Ace and you ship
to only one location. As our group
spans two warehouses, you would
actually be shipping to two
locations. This method is somewhat
limited in that we will not be able
to monitor orders throughout the
process. This option also does not
allow for reorders.
5. Why has the NorCal Ace Retailer
Group diversified beyond traditional
print advertising to include online
advertising?
The Sacramento market is a growing
region. Print circulation has not
kept pace with the growth. Ten
years ago, newspaper advertising
accounted for over 50% of most major
category ad budgets. Today, that
percentage has fallen to less than
40% while internet ad spending has
risen to over 10%. We’re changing
our media mix to adapt to changing
times. The NorCal Ace Retailer
Group takes pride in our leadership
role that sets us apart from other
Ace retailer groups.
6. Where will my company’s products
be placed on television?
The NorCal Ace Retailer Group has
selected the two leading news and
entertainment stations in the
Sacramento market to air your
commercials.
7. Where will my online ads be
placed?
Our 2008 television broadcast
partners host the markets most
visited electronic media
websites. Collectively, these
partners reach over one
million monthly unique users!
Your package includes
“interactive” advertising on the
Home Page of these sites that is
certain to capture the attention of
daily online users.
8. But, what if my company only
wants to advertise in print?
The NorCal Ace Retailer Group still
produces 28 print circulars per
year, generating 800,000 preprints
in each run distributed via
newspaper and direct mail. We have
many programs available and can
customize any program to fit the
needs of your company. |
